Do not underestimate the power of the internet
Australians have the highest and fastest take-up rate of new technology of any country in the world. We have a present take up rate on computers and Internet services that is running parallel to the take up of mobile phones. Soon every man and his dog will own a computer, or have access to one, be on the "NET" or using Email.

Your Advertising Power
In Western Australia there are almost 100,000 residential property investors (according to REIWA figures) with up to 60,000 of those opting to manage their own properties. As individuals we represent one or a series of advertisements in the West Australian, placed dutifully in the Wednesday and Saturday columns at a considerable cost and for a disproportionate measure of success. As a collective, we represent millions of dollars in advertising.

As an industry and as a collective group, we as private landlords have absolutely nothing to lose and everything to gain in the fight for our advertising dollar. Nothing worthwhile ever happened overnight, it takes persistence and a commitment to get what you want. If every private landlord in Western Australia committed to placing their properties on to Rentfind, It would soon become the medium that tenants will turn to when looking for a Rental property.

Do something for yourself. As investors, we have recognized the need to plan for income stream in retirement. We have chosen property as the medium , and are all here for the long term. This means for a lot of us, fifteen to twenty years (or longer) as property owners/landlords. The time it would take to make a positive step for change for a long term benefit in the way we approach our marketing, is a drop in the ocean.
